    I really think you should do a tasting with at least your top two or three.  Those descriptions are so generic…  Is the mac and cheese institutional grade gluey stuff, or luscious house-made with gourmet cheeses?  Do they wilt their veggies to death, or are they served pleasantly crisp?  Instant mashed potatoes, or made from scratch?  Iceburg lettuce “garden” salad, or an array of seasonal greens?

    With such simple menu items, it just seems like there’s a lot of room for quality and details to make all the difference, and you won’t know what you’re getting until you see and taste the food in person.

    @moriah:  +1 – id pick 2 or 3 to taste

    but in general I think

    1st one sounds like the price – quite basic

    2nd one sounds yum!! in fact im pretty hungry

    3rd menu – is you wedding in the summer?? In that case it may be nice to have some fruit pieces

    4th one – My fiance did the same thing with catfish (and I hate fish). I said it would make more sense to do it for the rehearsal dinner rather than to base a whole menu on one thing.

    5th one – sounds basic again, not as sophisticated as the others

    I picked 5 🙂 I personally love 3 but if there are vegetarians it offers less options for them, so my vote is for 5 🙂

    I think #1 sounds just fine if you’re concerned with price (and who isn’t?) – taste it to make sure it’s yummy though

    My Fiance gives the same answers for everything except honeymoon stuff! I like

    menu 4 and then 2 and then 5. I agree with a PP, #1 sounds like it’s price. I wouldbt pay for menu 3 either.

    2, then 5. if i knew you, i’d tell you to keep the tacos for an outing we would have. it seems a tad out of place at a wedding. maybe thats just me.

    Choose 5 for meal.  Placate FH by creatinga taco bar for the rehearsal dinner.
