We are having trouble picking a honeymoon spot. (Oh our tough lives) We are adventurous, but I also really want to relax and be pampered. We’ve narrowed it down to three top choices:
What would you pick, and why?
Oh and It’ll be in October.

I think I’d go with Hawaii. I feel like you could get a really good mix of adventure and relaxation there.
Did you guys consider Costa Rica at all? It is perfect for the adventure/relaxation combo!

Not sure if you guys are night owls, but Kona doesn’t have much of a night life.

October is still during hurricane season in the Caribbean, which is why my FI and I picked Hawaii.

I’ve never been to St. Croix but I loved both Hawaii and the Bahamas. If I had to choose, though, I’d pick Hawaii. There’s also hiking and other fun things to do that don’t necessarily revolve around the beach (even though that’s the best part!)

Have either of you ever been to Hawaii before? If not, then id go with Hawaii as the weather is pretty hot year round! iF not, then i’d pick one of the other spots.

Thanks for the input ladies. I think Kona may win, but I will be sad to not get a stamp in the very bare (one stamp) passport.
@Mrs.KMN I totally thought of Costa Rica, but Fi has been there and took it off the list.
@Taylo4 Thanks, I didn’t even think of hurricane season
@dianeanthony We’ve both been to Hawaii, but never Kona

St Croix is exponentially cheaper than Hawaii!

Hawaii….I think there’s just more opportunity to do things there!

I was in Freeport for a day on a cruise stop and it’s very small and native. There;s a good shopping area downtown for clothing, jewelry, knick knacks but didn’t see many restaurants. A couple I met were honeymooning staying at a beach house and had seen sea turtles and sharks on their beach. How awesome! The water is crystal clear there and I rode horseback on the beach which was a dream. The day we spent in Nassau was horrible. The town is very dirty and congested and there’s only a few public restrooms. If you go to Nassau, stay at the Atlantis resort (if you can afford it). There may have been other hotels but I wasn’t impressed and didn’t feel super safe in Nassau, but felt very safe in Freeport.
