Ok bees we need your help! We’ve got the dress, we’ve got the church, we’ve got the date (May 2nd 2015) now we need to choose a venue. Narrowed it down to 3 places:
-cocktail hour in exhibit of our choice (Dolphin House)
-It’s a great place for pictures
-beautiful view of city light up at night and Chicago river
-hotel room for us and parents
-$20 for parking 🙁
-cheapest cost $72 per person
We love them all! Which one would you pick and why?

I picked the zoo because it’s awesome. Any of these choices seem good, but if you have it at the zoo, I want to come!

All 3 are great in their own way, I think it really depends in the style you’re going for. The aquarium sounds super cool and unique, I think it would be fun for guests

THE ZOO IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
My second is Marcello’s, lot of pro’s. The second one you can eliminate!

Totally torn I love the zoo idea but The last option just screams elegant wedding! It all depends on what vibe you are after… I feel $20 for parking is a bit much though

@EricGroom: The ZOO!!!!!!!!!!! That’s absolutely fabulous!!

@EricGroom: just out of curiosity, i love the zoo but does it smell like a zoo? haha i only ask because teh zoos I have been to are stinky and think that stench could be a game changer.

- Wedding: March 2015 - City Winery New York, NY
@EricGroom: I voted for the Holiday Inn because that’s where we stayed during our yearly trips to Chicago when I was a child. I think it is a great hotel and good location and the view is awesome.

I haven’t ever been to a wedding or reception at a zoo and I think that would be so awesome to attend! I would actually be excited for a wedding!
I think the zoo would be awesome, but would you have a reception somewhere else after? Or just the cocktail hour at the exhibit?
The holiday inn, go for the views!!!

@Lbward6: Haha, certain areas of the zoo do smell but that’s why we want the dolphin exhibit. It doesn’t smell in there.
@Sea_Ashley: The cocktail hour would just be in the dolphin exhibit then our guests would be shuttled to another location in the zoo for the reception dinner.

I grew up visiting the Brookfield Zoo so I vote there!!

@EricGroom: oh okay, thanks for clarifying. As long as you aren’t forgoing the dinner, I vote ZOO too, then. 🙂
