Sounds like 3 is the best of both worlds, I would definitely go for the Ringscribe
I guess I'll add the pricing info for them, too:
Tiffany's Open Atlas ring is $1200 each
Sorella pierced ring starts at $245, but after investigating that price is decieving because it's priced only for sterling silver. With yellow gold, each one would be about $600.
Ringscribe.com's list price is $595.
We budgeted $3,000 for wedding bands so price is not really the issue here. If I need to pay a lot for a really great product I will, but it should be something we want, too!
I emailed them all to FI...of course he tells me that I get to choose!
I think that the Tiffany's one is not worth that money, especially when both of these other two look just as nice! Personally, I like and voted for the Sorella but they are very similar to eachother...Either way, I love the idea of having a number that is significant to both of you reflected in your rings! Cool idea!
I don't know that I have a preference-- would the roman numerals be the wedding date/ birthday, then? The Tiffanys ring is just a set design?
The other two look fairly similar to me so I'd say whichever is the better cost or comes in the width you prefer, go for it.
I just had a funny thought though-- if we got these rings (and it is carved with the wedding date like I think) they'd say X X X! Not exactly appropriate to be wearin' around, haha.
@Bunny2010- yes, the Tiffany's ring is a set design, it just says "III VI IX XII" (3, 6, 9, 12 like a clock) all the way around. The other two are customizable.
Haha, I love it "X X X"! Although, they usually do the full year so for example ours is V XVIII MMX. (btw, my birthday is the same day you're getting married!)
The Sorella rings come in 6mm or 8mm, and the RingScribe one is 7mm. I'm not sure what the width is of the Tiffany's band- I tried to ask customer service and I got an email telling me to call them. That was too much work lol. The other two really wind up being around the same price. I think I prefer the RingScribe one...
im thinking about doing the same thing! i would love to see a picture of them once you purchase them! and if you could let me know the resulting price i would appreciate it! i hope you get the ones you want! i love number 3, two is nice but it seems pricier.

One of the first things we (thought we) decided on was wedding bands. I don't want to wear a diamond band every day, so I showed FI a picture of a ring I had been lusting after, the Tiffany's Atlas open band. He agreed he loved it, and that was that until about a month ago. FI said to me "well I like the style of the Atlas open band, but what if we could put our wedding date or our birthdays on it?" Great idea! I found two shops with slightly different ring styles that would allow us to do that: Sorella jewlery has one, and ringscribe.com has one! So...which should we pick? We are getting the same ring. The ring will be in yellow gold.
1- Tiffany's Atlas Ring
2- Sorella Pierced Roman Numeral band
3- RingScribe Pierced Roman Numeral band
