I think you’ve answered your own question 🙂

However, CA is pretty big. You don’t have to limit yourself to LA.  Why don’t you go to Santa Barbara? The courthouse is gorgeous and the atmosphere is very “getaway”.

SexyCatLady:  I”m 100% Biased here, but I vote San Francisco City Hall! It’s like your own little castle, and they have great restaurants to go for a celebratory dinner afterwards! There are also lots of photographers that do “city hall” packages for much cheaper than “normal” wedding packages. Check it out:

    SFCH!!  All the way!

If you’d like something a little more private or outdoorsy my DH and I had our elopement ceremony at the Hastings House out by Half Moon Bay (1 hour south of San Fran):

SexyCatLady:  I am all for Vegas!!

There are different price points so I am sure you could find something in your price range.

I am assuming you are probably talking about travel costs being the more expensive cost – can you go during the week? Do you mind staying off strip?

SexyCatLady:  I did a quick orbitz search for random dates Oct 13th – 16th which i think was monday – thursday. Riviera is $27 a night! Circus is $24. El Cortez, Golden Gate and The D in downtown were also under $30

Check groupon and Amazon local for food deals, as well as keeping your eyes peeled while wakling around. When in doubt, there is a MCD on every corner :p we usually stick to one large buffet and that keeps us good – The Palms with your players card is like $13 for the morning. Sams Town is pretty good too and they include alcohol!

SexyCatLady:  I vote for Elvis!! We had a beautiful non-legal wedding with friends and family in our howe state. Then we got legally married on our honeymoon in Vegas–by Elvis in front of the Vegas sign! It was so fun and I loved every minute of it. I recommend you do it at night (better pictures).

    This is who we used
