Hello bees!!! Hubby-to-be and I are in the process of planning our end of May/June 2013 honeymoon! We are planning early since we LOVE to travel and we know it may take some time to decide on a location, resort, etc. When we chose May 26th as our wedding date, we failed to remember that June begins hurricane season so now we are trying to decide where to go!
We are looking for:
- 2 weeks at a location where we won’t get bored
- Relaxation and adventure
- Not a cruise
- Great weather
- Beautiful resort
Our budget is about $8-9k for the two weeks including flight from Philly/NYC, hotel, food.We are currently looking at St Lucia, Hawaii (Maui & Kauai), Aruba, somewhere in the Mediterranean… EVERYWHERE! 🙂 Let me know if you all have any great ideas or experiences to share!

I am currently torn between Maui and St. Lucia… I have been to Maui (and Kaui + Oahu 15+ times)- H2B has never been to any of them. I LOVE Maui – H2B wants to go somwhere we wouldn’t “normally go”. My parents work for United so airfare is taken care of. We are a young fun couple trying to balance relaxation and romance as well as have fun and enjoy ourselves. Wherever we go we know we will be doing lots of excursions. Currently looking at Butler service at the Sandals La Toc or condo rental near Lahaina or Kaanapali. SOOOOO torn!! I’m glad deciding on my dress wasn’t this hard!!! I think with 2 weeks in the carribean you would get bored. 2 weeks to split between kaui and maui I think would be a better bet. Kaui is gorgeous, naturally beautiful but MUCH less of a nightlife then Maui. Lots of fun stuff to do on Maui, great hikes, beaches, diving etc. If you haven’t checked out the Cook Island’s I would suggest taking a peak…. absolutely breathtaking. Would go there if we had a 10k budget but we need to be practical and keep it to about 6k.n Hope that helps
