Okay, so our lovely venue decided that they NO LONGER SERVE COCKTAILS…WTH! But anyway, we had already contracted for a signature drink for the wedding (Phew!) and negotiated to have the same signature drink for the rehearsal dinner (a margarita non-blended). We asked if we could do something slightly…very very slightly different to make it so we’re serving something different both nights.
So what we have is the margarita…what we need is something small to make two different presentations. We can’t have really any extra alcohols…but garnishes, juices, any other ideas.
RHD is Mexican
Wedding is pretty much standard wedding food
Thanks so much for your ideeears!!!

@icetea: I love jalapeno margaritas! A restaurant that I used to frequent for HH makes them and they are so yummy.

I am a big fan of pretty much any kind of fruit margarita… and I think they could be easy to make with just different mixers! Peach, mango, pomegranate…
I’m also having a signature cocktail that’s a margarita, I’m putting blue curacao in it! Not sure if you can do that since you said no real other liquor can be involved…

@Ellegee: Hmm that sounds interesting!
@Sunnyday278: Errrkkk yeah I know it would be so easy if we could just use a different mixer!! I’ll ask…but I’m afraid to push them over the edge and have them say no cocktails. So since we don’t have numbers for Rehearsal Dinner right now it’s only a verbal contract. We want to make this a very easy thing…
Anyone else do something to make their margs a little more interesting?
