This seems like a great idea!! I'm terrible with these types of directions, though, so I'm not sure i can be much help. What about googling to try to get a different set of illustrations/directions -- it might well be that someone else will have explained it in a way that's more intuitive? Good luck! I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Thanks for the encouragement. I know it'll be worth it when I actually figure it out. I still haven't been able to. Neither have my bridesmaids, but we'll keep working on it. I'm thinking I'll email the writer and hopefully she'll take pity on my poor soul. :P

Long time lurker, first time poster.
After much debate I had decided to use branches in my centerpiece and hang origami lanterns on them. I came across instructions for fantastic looking lanterns. http://www.spiraclemusic.com/webwalk/chilant1.htm
These lanterns look so much classier than your typical cut and paste lantern, and I'm really excited about how they'd look.
I've done origami before, and was able to get through the first page (the roof) fairly quickly. The second page, not so much. I've got the base down as well as step 2. It's step 3 that's making my brain hemorrhage.
Is there anyone who could shed some light on what exactually I'm supposed to do?! I think maybe I just need another set of eyes.
Thanks in advance!
