Try and keep your mouth occupied with other things, drinking water and chewing gum. It's all about self control which is difficult.
OMG me too! I dont know why but I am always hungry all of a sudden... I think its the stress.. no joke I have a jr whopper being delivered to me now.... I need to take my butt to the gym
Maybe it's something with our wedding date... haha! For some reason I kept secretly telling myself "Don't worry, your wedding is WEEKS away". I guess I didn't really think about how fast those weeks fly...
hehe you crack me up. I ate a lot before the wedding, too!
CHUG WATER. keep doing that all the time. at least it'll help keep you hydrated if all you want to eat is salty junk food 8-)
But I'm afraid if I drink tons of water, then I'll just be bloated and look puffy! No???
Oh dear. Lots of water. Throw out ALL the junk food in the house and stock the fridge with fruits and veggies. Maybe try some at home work out videos? 30 Day Shred in the morning and pilates in the evening?! You're going to have a lovely day, just try to avoid the donut holes for the next couple weeks.
I eat when I'm bored. Maybe try knitting or cross stitch to keep your hands busy?
Haha, thanks. You know the worst thing about it? I'm an aerobics instructor! And I'M avoiding the gym!!! I even found an excuse to get a substitute for my class last night becuase I felt so busy with the stress and thought I had so much to do. Did I actually do any of it? Nope! Must be pre-wedding jitters...
I'm sorry, but that's kind of ironic and funny. Seriously, I'm sure you're gorgeous and will look beautiful in your dress!!! You're just stressed and nervous. Maybe go for a massage or hot tub and try to calm your nerves.
water actually helps to prevent bloat.. it reduces the amount of salt in your system, which retains water... you can actually drink too much water.. what that does is remove too much salt, and then you need electrolytes...
But basically, water will not make you bloat. Salt will.
And no, the extra water won't make you bloated and puffy. That will only happen if you retain the water. Cut down on the food with salt or high sodium levels and up the water intake. This may be TMI, but you'll have to pee all the time, but you may actually lose some of the weight or puffiness if you get all the sodium out.
Are we sure there isn't a baby V on the way : ) The other girls are right though try to keep your self occupied... I always stuff my face when I'm bored.
Stress can definitely make you eat more but a really good work out can help you calm down - and get rid of all that nervous energy. Even if you don't think you have time to do it - you should make time, because it will make you feel better.
ooh what if there is a baby V demanding all the junk food? :-P Funny, Moose!
Don't drown yourself in water, but drink as much as you can and avoid other beverages. If you are going to splurge, make it count. don't drink your calories!
I can assure you... No baby V! But thanks for the suggestions ladies, keep 'em coming!
Avoid beverages with calories - stick with water and tea. (Or plain black coffee - but not too much!)
And whenever I get the munchies, I eat baby carrots or other cut up veggies. It's hard to get too far over my calorie limit without getting full first. The trick is that you have to eat them plain. Fortunately, I like them that way.
My problem is sweets. I've had to tell myself no more until my wedding cake.
I've been munching on Cheetos the last two days. I think it's just the stress - I eat like crap when I'm stressed out. And there wasn't any celery to mix with peanut butter today (I blame FH for using it all in dinner two nights ago - I HATE cooked celery. Yuck!). So, for lack of a healthy snack, I'm eating crap. Makes sense, right?
Ugh.
And stop skipping your classes! :-)
@bakerella- Good call for 30 day shred. I bought it a few months back and I'll be the first to admit... I don't do it very often. THat video is BRUTAL...... but it works!!!!

You're right, there are bigger things to be worried about, but I think there is something wrong with me! We are 2 weeks out, and I don't know if it's the stress or what, but I cannot stop eating!!!!! I'm avoiding exercise and anything that's not fried or smothered in ranch dressing!!! I have my final dress fitting tonight and all day I've eaten bagels and donut holes non-stop. Can anyone identify with me? What did you do.... any miracle 2-week-to-look-hot remedies out there?
