Okay so i know i still have a while but i’m stumped and need some ideas.
The colors for my wedding are a very pastel yellow and a very deep purple (eggplant). We are most likely using calla lilies, Unfortunately i don’t have a picture of what our centerpieces will look like but they will be wide round vases about 1ft high with sea glass in the bottoms, submerged flowers and floating candles, there will also be several candles around the table and scattered pieces of small sea glass. I know it will be very pretty but i can not think of a theme 🙁

I’m not sure what you mean by “theme”. The word makes me think of like… a “fall” them, or a “halloween” theme, or “medeival”.
It’s totally not necessary to have a theme, but you may just want to think of a few words to describe it.
For example, I wouldn’t say my wedding has a “theme” but I say I want it to be “fresh and clean and natural, meets garden tea party” and just hope for the best!

i didn’t think i needed a theme but it seems like everyone i talk to asks about my theme, i guess to know what kind of favors to go for and such, I don’t feel like i need to have one but when everyone kept asking me what mine was i started to think maybe i should

Your wedding doesn’t need a theme but if you feel obligated to have something to tell people, just say “A Celebration of our Love” or something equally cheesy.

I think it’s good to draw a line between a full fledged theme and a general motif or feel that guides your decisions.
Try some of the typical key words on for size and see what you like – rustic, modern, whimsical, romantic, homemade, cheery, etc etc.
It sounds to me like your wedding is taking a more modern route with the submerged calla lilies and sea glass. I think your venue plays a major role in deciding the motif too.

@melodicsighs1 thanks, that helps, i think it will be a pretty modern feel. ooh and here’s our venue, it’s definitely modern. I only have an outside picture, but thanks!

I vote for “Modern Romantic” with all the candles and your choice of flowers. Sounds really pretty and your venue looks amazing!!

Yeah, I was going to suggest “Modern Romantic” too before I even saw your venue – that’s a gorgeous place, by the way!
