How about a sleeveless dress with a bolero that you could wear with? Or a sleeveless that you have altered to add some sort of sleeves?
It may be easier to find something this way, because dresses with sleeves are not easy to find nowadays..

Victoria’s Secret has convertible dresses, (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/collection/?cgname=OSCLODRSCVT&cgnbr=OSCLODRSCVT&rfnbr=6354).  I know the “Flirty” collection dress can be tied so it has sleeves.  It doesn’t look like that style comes in white though, if you’re looking for a white dress.

Also, there are a lot of sellers of formalwear on sites like eBay.com, so you might be able to check there.  My friend just bought a beautiful dress that was originally ticketed at $200 for $40 from eBay.

Don’t panic yet!  If you’re not getting a dress through a bridal shop, I think you still have plenty of time to find “the one” for you!

I know personally in my area of salons that will sell you dresses right off the rack.  Sure, there might be a little bead that needs sewing on, but you def can get a bridal gown with only 2 mos to go!

I was going dress shopping myself, planning on going this month, when I had to suddenly pay for a retainer fee for a lawyer and had to take my ex husband back to court regarding custody issues with my son (we won of course).  It cost me 2,500 and all the dress funds I’d saved up were gone in a puff of smoke, as quick as I could write the check.  Sadly, couldn’t touch my 401k as its structured to discourage withdrawals.  Thus, I couldn’t afford my dress until June.

I’ll be in your shoes and am going to have fun with it!  So can you!  Just call around and find out who sells off the rack!  This might be a huge savings too!

Def do go and find salons that let you buy right off the rack!  You can find a gorgeous dress quickly!

Let’s have fun with this.  Ok.  You have a month to find a dress check.  Then a month to get alterations, check!

Now let’s go and have some fun and see what you find!  This could be awesome and I’d love to see something like this to inspire other brides!  You’re going to have so much fun and let all of us who have little time dress shopping to not sweat it!!

It’s time for “Say Yes Swiftly To the Dress”!

As long as wherever you buy it from has a good return policy it’s worked out to buy online.  Though usually you have to pay return shipping.

Hi,

You could try checking out http://www.keepmeinstitches.biz  I bought a gorgeous well made MOB gown for only $129.00 just 2 months before my daughter’s wedding.   They have many different styles of short and long gowns.  I saw that they had a few gowns with boleros in white or ivory.  For example, Under MOB/MOG style 649-MQ comes in white (their) sizes 4-20, it comes with a bolero and is only $116.00  There was also an ivory chiffon gown with a lace bolero jacket in M-5X for $109.00, and under Prom Gowns they had a 4 piece long pick-up gown with an extra mini-skirt, and a  cap sleeve bolero in white style 638-MQ for  only $245.00  Maybe one of these will be one that you love!  Just make sure to get professionally measured (a local drycleaner/seamstress) measured me, so that I could order the right size, since these are definitely are not street sizes.  I take a 2x, and had to order a 5X!  Call customer service-as long as what you choose are in stock so you can get them fast!!!  I don’t think they had a return policy-but perhaps you can exchange?  Check out the fine print!  And if you are in PA, they have a brick and mortar store-Rowan Bridal.  They saved the day for me!!
