I’m desparate for Christmas present ideas for my FI. We both loves books and anything Science Fiction related. His birthday was last week and I got him a book so I don’t really want to go that route again, but I am lost.
Since the bee is great at providing awesome ideas I was hoping to get inspiration from all of you. Any ideas?

Dh’s birthday is in a few days so I understand the frustration. I got Dh a tablet, I picked up a few on the sales around Thanksgiving. (he’s getting the one I got for myself because amazon is doing a payment plan on their new hdx so I grabbed one for myself and he’s getting the samsung). A straight safety razor, why he wants one I’ll never figure out. And a new gun he’s been eyeing.
My son is a sci-fi guy, he’s 20, and I got him an autographed Serenity movie. A personal tweet from his favorite anime person (I have no idea who this chick is but I tweeted her for a week and she finally answered) a sonic screwdriver, a doctor who travel mug, a Samsung tablet, and a bunch of movies from his amazon wish list.
I’m a big amazon wish list buyer, does he have one you can look at to see what he wants?

OMG I am totally desperate as well. This is our first Xmas together and we are fairly broke (moved countries, set up house, etc), so I’m torn. I KNOW he is going to give me lots of stuff– I’m just praying he didn’t borrow money from his mom to do it! 🙁
I have a budget, so I could get him a few smaller priced gifts, OR one big thing…
Ugh, I shouldn’t even be on this board!! I should be out there shopping!!!

@tksjewelry: I wish he did, but he tends to just go out and buy something if her likes it. I’m on a budget and apparently what I consider to be a budget doesn’t match many lists!
@prahajess: Totally feel you! I’ve spent all morning online and all I seem to be able to come up with are a bunch of books. I’m about ready to throw in the towel, admit defeat for this holiday and get him some books. I know he loves them, so I don’t know why I keep fighting it, especially when I have about a zillion other things I have to do! Wish you the best!

I really bougt random crap as I went along so i am not going to be a good source but I”ll play anyway! I bought my DH new running shoes yesterday, that’s his big purchase. Then today I was making a list of the things IO’ve picked up for him and realized I’ve bought him 3 different forms of socks. Wool, Nike Dri-Fit, and a Seahawks pair… I mean oopsy what man needs that many socks!
OH well! Also got him a daddy book since we’re expecting, some DVD’s on black friday, a Seahawks flag and some new running pants.
ETA: I feel your pain beacuse my DH’s hobbies are golf and sports and there is only so much I can buy for that, and he never asks for a single thing. I have to be the wife that thinks of everything her husband could need in life because he doesn’t know what to ask for. It’s exhausting lol

I got FI a Star Wars art print for our future home, a Star Wars action figure from the new Black Series (took me FOREVER to find), and a mug you can build Legos off of. Super budgeting here. I have spent less than $75.

Yesterday I ended up getting him some Hugo Boss deoderant (lol) and a nice shirt. I still need to find him a belt and some other things. I know he would love me to get him candy– gummi bears especially, but he’s not supposed to eat that. 🙁 I feel evil giving him what I know is bad for him (diabetic)…
Oh, and his other stocking stuffer: coupons for back scratches. He absolutely LOVES them and I hate giving them, but he deserves it! 😛

@renwoman: i JUST finished with his presents like 10 mins ago!
I got him a sweater from his old HS (since he mentioned he wanted one)
i got him a couple shirts i saw on sale
I got him a silly book (more of an inside joke)
An Axe gift set $10 from walmart!
AND i just found a GREAT groupon deal for a chiropractic exam, xrays, and 1 hour massage for $40! I want one for me too!! lol
The massage is something he would never buy for himself, but with the way his back has been hurting I am hoping he will really use this and enjoy it. I am not sure if your SO would like a massage, but like i said there are some great delas on there. Also for getaways, it has great dicounts. maybe a weekend get away if it is in your budget?
Beer drinker? maybe a make your own beer kit? or a beer of the month subscription.
Likes cars? Maybe something for his car like new floor mats, a gift certificate for a detaling place, or a race car driver experience?
