I’m boring, so I’d probably give them a nice dark stain if you want to keep the look of wood, or paint them white.

I’d probably paint them with a silver furniture paint, and then go over it with another coat of furniture paint in white or chalk. Then I’d distress the edges so that the silver faintly shows through. The blue of your walls is so bright (it’s lovely, by the way!) that I wouldn’t want to put anything too contrasting with it.

I’d do a bright white I think. I’d line the back with a blue and white wallpaper. Something floral though to play off the geometric pattern in your quilt. Framed print above with a lamp 🙂

I would stain the outside box a dark stain and paint the drawers.

MsGinkgo :  if you’re keeping those colours then either mustardy colour as in your bedspread or the pale grey you mention is in the room.

Grey or black! I think you need to have something dark in there with so much bright colors and white.

MsGinkgo : I was going to say yellow, agree with the mustard colour suggestion above too. I like your colours by the way.

I think a dove gray with gold hardware would be very trendy and fashionable.  You could even distress the edges and add some gold metallic paint streaks on the surfaces and distressed edges.  For the paper I would keep it interesting/contrasting to the spread/and metallic.  Since the bed spread is geometric I would do a floral metallic paper that will match the paint.

If not a light neutral, then a dark grey chalk paint.

I’d say white or light gray, then if you take the top drawer out, you could put some mustard wallpaper or paint inside. And get cute colorful drawer pulls

I’d paint the drawers the same muted yellow as seen in your bed spread.  It’s a nice neutral without being plain old white.
