sorry not kangeroo paw – I bet my life on it. My gut is that it’s Solidago. Looks like the head hasn’t fully bloomed yet so it’s hard for me to tell for sure.

It’s most definitely Solidago (which really is Goldenrod!).

huh, I’ve never heard the name solidago before! Growing up, we tried to kill it as much as possible I think because it is poisonous to the horses. I guess we never learned the “pretty name” for the weed. 😉

@JeniRae:  Haha  Yeah, most people hate it, especially people who have seasonal allergies.  They KILL me when they grow in the fields out here in the fall.  Blech.

@LindsayMaree: Goldenrod’s pollen is too large and does not travel in the air. You’re probably allergic to ragweed -people mistake this all the time!

I love that its included in bouquets!
