Hey everyone! I’m three months from ‘I do’ and just now found a dress, but am totally at a loss as to what kind of veil or head ornamentation would suit it best. My primary concern is that I don’t want to hide the beautiful beading detail on the dress, so the sheerer the better. But do y’all have any advice re: length? Or alternatives? Thanks so much for your help!

Wow, your dress is gorgeous. My first thought was maybe a birdcage veil?

So elegant and beautiful! I would suggest a sheer, raw-edged, single-layer, cathedral-length veil that is longer than your dress. It’s so sheer that your guests will be able to see through it, and there is no edging to distract people from the beauty of your gown. If you don’t like that idea, I would suggest a sparkly headband. (You also can have both.)

sarah.hicks.14: A birdcage veil would be nice, as would a jeweled headband of some sort. I think a traditional cathedral veil will clash against the fabric of the dress since it’s so heavily beaded.

I think a dress like that (so stunning, btw) begs for a gold leaf ornament like this (found this on etsy):
