I’m about a month away from the big day and have decided that I do want to wear a veil for our ceremony. My fiance wasn’t crazy about the idea so early on in the dress hunt process I planned on not wearing one – but now I think I’ll miss the tradition of having one.
I have not even tried on veils so I’m not sure where to start. What veil do you think would look best for my dress? It’s a countryside wedding at the end of the day during sunset. I’m wearing this gown:

elbow length with a lace trim.

Thanks for the thought! 🙂 Anyone else?

I’d go with a birdcage veil since I wouldn’t want to cover up any of that detail on that gorgeous dress!!

See… I do love birdcage veils! BUT I’m afraid my dress doesn’t look vintage-y enough or something? Man. The veil (and other accessories) are, in many ways, more difficult than the original dress purchase.
ETA: Thanks for the compliment about my dress! 🙂

I’m wearing something similar and I’m wearing a long cathedral veil, I think it flowed nicely with the dress. Anything thing else looked odd (to me), an elbow length veil looked ‘cut off’ if that makes sense
My fiancé always said he never pictured me in a veil so I was initially not looking for one but I didn’t feel complete without

I would go with a finger tip veil. It’s right in between elbow and cathedral length. So it’s a little formal but not TOO formal. I would go with either a really simple classic veil or one with a really simple lace/design on the edge. Good luck!
