@BeautyBox:  Do you have a link to your chart?

@BeautyBox:  In general, you cannot tell that you have ovulated from CM alone.  It is one of your primary fertility signs, but you also need to look at the other one, which is your Basal Body Temperature (BBT).  Fertile CM just tells you that ovulation is approaching.  Your BBT tells you when you ovulated, if at all.

I recommend creating an account on FertilityFriend.com.  It’s free and has lots of great information.  There’s also a free eBook called “Charting Your Way to Conception” that explains how to identify and decipher your fertility signs.

@BeautyBox:  I know what you mean.  Charting can be stressful for some people and not for others.  You won’t know until you try.

I started out thinking it was awful but after a couple weeks, I’m really used to it now and it’s no longer stressful at all.  I actually feel less stressed now than before I started charting because I have a much better idea of what’s going on with my body.  I knew virtually nothing about fertility signs until I signed up with FertilityFriend.  Now I’ve watched the 10 minute videos on their site and read the free eBook and I feel so much more informed!  I wish someone would have taught me this stuff years ago.

I also have the FF mobile app on my phone, and it takes literally a couple seconds to input my data for the day.  Charting is so easy.  And if you’re already observing your CM, you’re halfway there!

OPKs are a secondary fertility sign, so they basically cross-check what you already know in case your CM or temperatures are ambiguous that cycle.  I personally think CM is one of the harder signs to understand.  The eBook is the only thing that finally made it clear to me.

EWCM is a good sign that you’re ovulating, but it’s hard to pin point the day. Tracking CM alone didn’t help me too much, once I started temping I got pregnant! Charting was the opposite of stressful for me, it was a relief to be so informed.

@BeautyBox:  Sure! It was really easy. I just would wake up around 7 (or whenever you typically wake up) and stick the thermometer in my mouth and write down the number.. I wouldn’t even get out of bed! If you use fertility friend app then it’ll tell you your O date, that’s what I did.. After three days of a high temp you know you’ve O’d. So you really don’t know until aftwe you’ve O’d, but that way I knew that I typically ovulate on the 17th day of my cycle! Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
