Definitely not the day before! I agree with your friend and would go 4-7 days before your wedding.

Definitely go 3-5 days before the wedding, I’m always red for 24 hours afterwards.

I like to wax the DAY BEFORE any big event, because the redness goes away, but the waxing breakouts haven’t had time to develop yet.

Oh yes, and don’t touch the waxed area after waxing!  It only makes the breakouts worse.

you said you’ve never waxed before, and you want to before your wedding. do you mean you’ve never waxed anything before or just whatever you plan on waxing before the wedding?? i am guessing you are talking about getting a bikini/brazilian wax. if you’ve never done any waxing, you may want to start well before the wedding, also to see how your skin reacts. some people, it doesn’t bother them, others it does. if you end up being someone that bruises or whatever, you don’t want to find that out the day before your wedding! also, because hair grows in cycles, after a few waxes you will have better results. the first one isn’t going to give you as good a the 3rd. i would start to just trim from now on if i were you, in a wk get 1st wax and then see how it goes, and try to book next wax for 3 days before the wedding.

I would agree with the PP to try it well before your wedding to ensure that you don’t have an allergic reaction of any kind. That way you can determine how your skin will react and plan accordingly.
