Our colors are eggplant and copper for our October wedding--we didn't want traditional fall colors, either. The girls will be wearing deep plum dresses and carrying bouquets with mango calla lillies, burgundy dahlias, melva mango roses, balou orange cymbidium orchids, and hypericum berries.
Here is a picture of a bouquet with similar colors and the balou cymbidium orchids.

@Chela429 Those are great flowers!
Yellow is considered a complimentary color of purple. Or I'm sure the florist could recommend something if you're not set on having a particular flower. If you have a swatch of your BM dresses just bring that in with you.
Oooo! I love eggplant and was going to say deep, burnt orange for a not-so-in-your-face approach to fall colors. azwinelover's idea is fabulous, too!
Pink and white anemones would be very, very pretty. I feel like I see that on wedding blogs more and more.
IMO, you can do whatever color and it would look good. Oranges, whites, lighter purple, bright blues, yellow, pink, red. Personally, I'd probably go with bright blues, purples, and whites.
Lighter purple popped into my head when I read your thread title, perhaps with some light blue (like hydrangeas)?
I LOVE that second bouquet that azwinelover posted. Gorgeous!
My suggestion would be for lime green flowers. That would be a little more modern though. Like, spider mums? Those would look really nice with a deep purple background.
I agree with Future Mrs M. There are so many options. If you are really liking yellow and white, with some green, so for it. I think it will look fab. But look at how great, yet different the pictures some other bees have provided. There are so many great options. (And purple with yellow is a good one.)
I would do deep/bright pink. They'd really pop against the aubergine of your dresses! Yellows and whites would also look great :)
These dark dresses look great with pink!
We're doing a mix of white and lime-ish (not super bright) green with dark purple dresses. Here's some of my inspiration pics!
My BM dresses are a color called pomegranate-it's like a plum, very dark pink & burgundy mix. I am using astrolomeria since the colors are varied and they are very inexpensive, highly available and in every shade under the sun!
I like azwinelover's pic... those flowers are PERFECT! I also love the green orchids with the purple tint to their centers... green and purple go greattogether.
I think yellow would pop really well and be a beautiful accent to the dresses. I really like stuff like this!

I am getting married in November. However, I do not want the traditional fall colors.
My bridesmaid dresses & and the sash on my dress is a dark purple color (eggplant). What color flowers would best go with that color? I'm thinking of yellow and white with some green fillers. What do you think? Do you have any other ideas? Pictures would help!!
