I would choose diamond number 2.

the size difference between 1 and 2 will be negligible so I say you go with the better clarity- #2. Whats up with the cuts though?

DEFINITELY not 3. EGL SI2 E…. no. A little warmth is better than cloudy anyday (imo). And EGL H is NOT yellow. They use H in rings at luxury designer brands (T&C etc). You wont notice.

For reference I have a GIA H color diamond in a halo most of the time its colorless but in certain lighting I do see some slight warmth. However its a princess cut which shows more body color than a round brilliant.

I would go with number one if it was eye clean. If it’s not eye clean go with number 2. Don’t settle for a less sparkly diamond.

Shane86:  Diamond 2 and here’s why. With SI2 you’d be more likely to see the inclusions than with SI1. Between 0.64 ct and 0.70 ct you’re not going to see the difference in size once the stone is set, so I don’t think size should be a factor in the decision. GIA has a better reputation than EGL.

Shane86:  I have a K color diamond (family stone) in a G color halo setting and the color difference is hardly noticeable. I can only really tell if it’s in certain light and I’m looking for the difference. The only comments I get on my ring are that it’s so sparkly.

Diamond 2 is the highest quality diamond, and most likely to be eye clean.  Also with the EGL cert, you have to bump everything down to categories, so the color is a G or an H and the clarity is probably in the I range.

ellie-b:  I also have a K, with medium fluoresence.  But it is ideal cut and VS in clarity, so it looks very white and sparlkly.  I think it would have to literally be next to a clearer diamond for me to know.

In my personal opinion you aren’t going to see much of a difference in clarity between an SI1 and SI2….but you will notice a larger diamond.  Just my two cents 🙂

Not enough info to evaluate. Have you seen them? How is the cut on each – by far the most important aspect? ASET? Idealscope?
