Ok, so i’m writing this post (and uploading these photos!) on the basis that my Fiance is beyond unlikely to be browsing the weddingbee boards.
I am really hoping for some help here as I have a dilemma! I have been trying to find an a-line lace gown to rival that of the Sottero & Midgley Geraldine dress, during my search I found the Enzoani Anchorage organza dress – it has a very small amount of lace on it, but its a very different style of dress and I am now torn. I think I know which dress looks better on me but I’m struggling to accept the truth as i’m in love with one of them 🙁
So, which dress suits me best, A – Lace or B – Organza?!!?
Sorry about the quality of the organza dress photo, the flash messed it up a bit!!

I like the lace one much better. IMO it is more unique than the second and the flower sash makes your waist look tiny!

I voted for the first one, not only cuz I think it’s gorgeous, but I think that it’s actually more flattering on your figure. (maybe the second one just wasn’t as good a photo, but I don’t really like the “pulled to the side” look.)

Definitely dress #1 IMO. The sash is perfectly positioned, and really gives you a defined hourglass shape. It is also more unique, and I prefer its neckline.

I would say the organza, but it looks like the size you have on it too small for your chest area. I think your waist looks smaller in the organza, I’m guessing it’s a corset in the back, so you’d probably need to get a bigger size or see if they can modify the cup size on it.
Just because you thought you liked one thing, doesn’t mean the reality will be that that is what looks best on you. I HAD to have all over lace, tried on tons of dresses with all over lace, but at the end of the day, they kindof aged me (for lack of better word). I ended up with the same shape i wanted, but the fabric wasn’t allover lace.

I’d go with the lace. Like others have said I find it more flattering on your figure and honestly I think the organza one is just too plain and ordinary and you should stand out on your wedding 🙂

I LOVE the first one on you!

The Organza one fits everywhere but bust, I am “blessed” in the bust area so would need a larger size and to have to altered! I would say the bust is more of a burden but there we are 😉
Thanks for the really useful comments, its helpful to get a feel for why people think a dress is better or worse as well.

I’m torn, I do like the fit of the first one but the flower over the belly seems quite large and not flattering.
I voted for one as I think its more flattering overall but the flower at your waist seems off to me, maybe it needs to be more off-center?

I vote for the organza… I love the way it really defines your waist. I’m not really a fan of the skirt on the lace one…

I’m going to go against most Bees and vote for #2! I love how romantic it is!
I think the first one looks stunning on you.

The first one looks amazing on you. I think that shape makes you look tiny. And it seems to fit you well. But the second, as others have pointed out, may just need better alterations. Still….I say #1

I voted for Dress #1! It looks much better on you than the organza and I like the flowers on the belt.
