So I did what I swore I would never do: I bought a dress and now I’m having second thoughts . I bought dress number 1 a month after I got engaged (first dress I tried on) at a bridal shop that was closing. The dress I bought was $199 and fit me perfectly (maybe a little too perfectly at the time because now it’s a little snug). I couldn’t turn down a $199 dress, especially one that I thought was perfect at the time. Skip ahead to today and I found this allure 8958 at a bridal shop while I was looking for bridesmaids dresses. Of course as soon as I tried it on, I fell in love. The place I’m getting married at is a beautiful old mansion (think Gone with the Wind), and my theme has turned into romantic/vintage inspired. So now I leave it up to you girls. Do you like my orginal love Dress #1 or my new flame Dress #2 on me. Please be honest, I have thick skin . Thanks so much for any type of feedback!!! Dress 2 is $1500 more than dress 1, and I really can’t decide if it is worth it to spend the extra cash on this gorgeous gown.

Dress #2 Allure (Sorry the pictures aren’t that great and please disregard my bra strap, it is a strapless gown. Also, there won’t be as much “boobage” I have a VS bra on):

honestly, i love the first one. hands down.
ETA: you could think about altering it to have a sweetheart top to better match dress 2… then you’d have the best of both worlds in my opinion.

laurs33: The Casablanca is more reminiscent of vintage wedding gowns.

Thanks so much ladies! I think altering it to a sweetheart is a great idea!

I vote the allure. You just need a belt!

I do not normally like satin, but that Casablanca is so rich looking with it’s creamy color, and it’s the BOMB with your skin tone. It has stunning beading. I really, really like it.

I think your first love better fits your theme. It is also my favorite. Spend the additional $1500 on your honeymoon.

I love your first choice!! It’s gorgeous.

This is how I feel about wedding gowns, so just take it for what it’s worth…
A wedding dress is only worn for a few hours of one day.The first gown is not only beautiful, but it also fits you amazingly, goes with your theme, AND was an awesome price. That in itself would be way more valuable to me than another dress that I might like a little better that’s $1500 more. Imagine how far $1500 could go towards your budget, or how great it would be simply to save that money. I would stick with the first dress because it’s amazing, and not try on any more!!

laurs33: The dress you already own is stunning and I think it looks much more expensive than the second. Also your dress really shows off your amazingly tiny waist.

You look more gorgeous in the first one and $199 is an absolute STEAL! No contest here!!!

The Casablanca is stunning. You definitely made the right choice the first time around.

I agree that the first one fits your theme much better. It’s lovely. I especially love the color on you. Also I see a ton of dresses on here that look like the second, but I don’t recall any that look like the first. So there’s that. I can’t believe the deal you got on it. I think you are suffering from the “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is” mentality. And usually it might be. But this time you nailed it.
