Honestly, I don't think that your guests will even be able to tell. I am using white candles, my dress is ivory, and I didn't even consider the color of my dress when I bought the pillar candles.
I found that a lot of the bulk candle dealers online charge extra for ivory vs white, as ivory was considered a colored candle... if that makes a difference. I got mine at Pier 1, where the colors didn't make a difference in price :)
thanks:) I wasn't sure if it mattered. I know ivory can look a little different in person, some can look a little yellow. I don't want to buy 72 candles with candle holders & realize when they come that I don't like the ivory
What color are the tablecloths? Are they white or ivory, with blue accents?
I work around candles at my job (package and ship them out) and I think Ivory is the best for a wedding. Which is great but it's almost "too white" if that makes sence where Ivory is warmer and softer...hope that helps! :)
I ended up getting ivory floating candles at hobby lobby (50% off), but debated for a long time. I felt like the ivory was too yellow and would stand out. In the end I decided they weren't as yellow as I thought compared to how bright the white was.
I actually wanted peralized white but they were too expensive to order and the store I orginally purchased from was out. Maybe try them if you can't decide between the white and ivory? They are such a nice color. Also, I'm not sure what size your looking for (mine were 3") but some sizes are hard to find the ivory.
I don't actualy know what color the lines are. Would that make a huge difference?
I'm partial to ivory. I find white white just a little too stark.
I think ivory will look softer. Also it will match your dress. But white will look crisp and clean. What look are you going for?
I agree with the others, ivory would be nice. Although I don't think the guests would noitice either way.
I would go with Ivory - I just like the look of ivory candles over white ones - but that is strictly a personal preferance! We have ivory candles, ivory tableclothes, and my dress is champagne. No one will see our candles though.

I am making my own centerpieces for my wedding, & plan on buying all the candles for the wedding as well. I know I want plum bridesmaids dress, and possibly turquoise or blue tones as accent colors. I am having a hard time deciding between using white candles or ivory. I was thinking of having 3 different sized cylinder vases with a floating candle/a flower in the vase, & rocks on the bottom, on a square mirror... I was thinking of having 4 votive candles at each corner of the mirror. Any suggestions? I am not sure why I am having so much trouble deciding between white or ivory. My dress is ivory, so does that matter?
