Instead of individual gifts, we are going for a ‘corporate’ gift of something for our home. I’d also like to stick with the traditional gift vs. the modern gift. For 2nd anniversary the traditional gift is cotton.
Cotton sheets come to mind – but I want to get something that will (ideally) last our entire marriage – so that rules out clothing, robes, etc.
The best thing I can come up with is to have our monogram done on cotton…. This is where I need the hive’s creative help – how should I have it done…. on some sort of fabric and have it framed?? Or made into a pillow?? I like the idea of napkins – but that doesn’t stand the test of time requirement. 🙂
I know I want to display it somehow – vs. it getting tucked away into a drawer… but am having trouble figuring out exactly what ‘form’ of cotton to use.
All ideas are appreciated!

Ooh cotton could be so many things! If you’re thinking of monogramming fabric, a picture frame is nice, or a pillow, or a display towel set.
Monogrammed family throw
Personally I want to make a quilt of us!

High thread count cotton sheets (500+.) Ahhh! Have coordinating pillows monogrammed to match (you can cut out the monogram and frame it once they’re too worn to use anymore.)

Frame and quilt your monogram on cotton ( or use another fabric and a cotton batting).

@julies1949: very cool pic! I think that’s what I’m leaning towards… but I’m fairly certain there is no WAY I could pull it off myself…. time to hunt for a good etsy person!
