My FH and I are having a really hard time decided where we want to go for our honeymoon. We don’t necessarily want the beach, but we are thinking about Lake Tahoe, Yellowstone, Banff, or Peru, something that has hiking, history, adventure, and breathtaking beauty.
We are looking for something around $3,500 for 7 days around June 6, 2011.
Has anyone been to any of the places listed above and know of somwhere to stay? FH wants a jacuzzi and a place that has some privacy. Maybe a cabin?
Help me to find some good places PLEASE!

We stayed here for two weeks in June and loved it. 2 miles high, literally!
It’s in the middle of nowhere (truly) and the house was fantastic. Very well-stocked kitchen (you buy your own food, but the pots/pans were nice) and a pantry with spices and stuff. Comfy beds, nice cross breezes (there’s not much AC in Colorado), neat views and lots of wildlife. (Saw several mule deer grazing in the aspens in the mornings.)
We were central (under an hour’s drive) to a lot of outdoor Colorado activities (Pikes Peak, Co Springs, Cripple Creek, Florrisant Fossil Beds) and a 2-3 hour drive from Sand Dunes, South Park basin, & Arkansas River. It’s a fifteen minute drive from the cabin to Mueller (which we could have spent our entire trip exploring) and a thirty minute driving to great eating & shopping in Woodland Park.
Plus, it has a jacuzzi with a breathtaking view of Pikes Peak. (It’s like, right. there.) Heaven!!!
The cabin, like just about every house out there, has big water tanks that have to be filled on a regular basis for drinking water, showering and such – just make sure its filled prior to your visit.

I would’ve suggested a cruise as it is cheaper considering cost and food, but I’m not sure if that’s the type of “seclusion” you are looking for.

Thank you for the ideas! The place in Colorado sounds nice, but we have both been to Colorado, and we want to go somewhere where we have not been.
I know cruises can be good deals, but we definitely want something different than the beach scene. Something more secluded.
