@Arbeetrary:

What about something like these? I was in nursing school and throughout the whole time I was in school I wore the ring in a necklace that I had to feed through. I never took it off the chain…reason being I had labs and clinicals every week and because it had diamonds in it (didn’t want to spread bacteria/parasites etc) It was just a hassle to take it off the chain and put it back on all the time. It didn’t make me any less engaged by leaving it on the chain. Also I’ve seen other people post that if you are doing medical/surgical/OR, many nurses/medical staff will pin their rings to their uniforms with safety pin. Just some options to think about! Good luck in your search 🙂

@Arbeetrary:  I’ve been searching for the Tiffany’s enchancer necklace off and on for a year.  I am so upset that it is now discontinued.  I wanted one just to put my necklace on the chain if I was headed to the bathroom at work or to the nail salon.

I will let you know if I find out better than the James Avery option.

@Arbeetrary:  Sorry I didn’t mean to sound like you thought that it meant being less engaged. I just meant I know how you feel about the putting it through the chain. I know its hard when you have to take it off and on the chain. Maybe let the rotation start and see how she feels about it than. I originally thought I wanted to take it off the chain but when I realized I had placements every week and would need to have it removed, I felt better knowing that it was in a safe place, still on me and yet wasn’t spreading bacteria…..What about a stunt ring? Is she not allowed to wear a ring at all or just one with diamonds. I have my good engagement ring but I also have a plain band I can wear to work  that doesn’t have diamonds in it. I put on my good engagment ring daily when I am not at work and I use my plain band for when I go to work.  Sorry just trying to think of other options if you can’t find an alternate chain/necklace….Hope you find a good solution!!

I had the Tiffany one for two months until the spring on the latch broke.  We took it to the Tiffany store and they shipped it off to be repaired.  The quote for the repair was $75, so we opted not to proceed with that option.  I would definitely NOT recommend the Tiffany charm enhancer to anyone because of that; there were major quality issues with it.  It was discontinued for a good reason.

I stil haven’t found a good replacement for it yet.

I work in a manufacturing setting and can’t wear mine outside my office. I got a necklace that holds the ring without removing it plus looks great alone. Not taking off the necklace is the best part.  I googled wishbone ring holder, got it off etsy for less than $30. Its very secure I never worry about loosing it.

I have the first Tiffany’s one and I barely ever use it. In situations that I thought I’d use it in, I prefer to either just wear the ring or keep it in its box instead. It’s easy to get the ring on the charm holder, but more of a hassle to get it off, and I think that’s a big part of why I don’t tend to bother with it. Also, I like wearing all sorts of different necklaces, the charm holder necklace isn’t always the look I want to be sporting. Anyway, just food for thought.

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to chime in here and say that those wishbone and horseshoe charms are like magic!

I had to google how they worked, and I think it’s awesome!!

I wasn’t able to get the charm through OP’s link for James Avery so hopefully this one works:

Also, I called Tiffany’s and spoke with a CSR that said they have a “jumpring”  which looks very similar to the original “Tiffany’s Charm Enhancer” necklace that has now been discontinued. Just thought I’d share. I ordered one this morning for a friend for her birthday gift so hopefully it turns out well.
