I am in love with the idea of doing a deep purple/eggplant color for bridesmaid dresses…but does anyone have ideas for an accent color?
I asked the florist to use deep purples/blues with some bright orangish colors mixed in (like tulip colored). She assured me that it sounded beautiful but the thought of doing a purple/orange scheme sounds so odd to me!
Some ideas I have considered are a light green accent or silver…let me know if you have any suggestions.

I considered purple and orange before I locked in on my colors. They look much prettier together than you might initially think! Very festive and regal. If you don’t want the orange, I personally would do lavender, just a lighter version of what you already have. (Ex. – A purple dress with a lavender sash) You can still use silver as an additional accent, like silver shoes and silver bead jewelry.
Hope this helps! Let us know what you decide!

My bridesmaids are wearing a lavender (not Easter Pastel, has a silver hue to it), and my Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing an eggplant darker purple. I am using white and silver as it matches my dress, but my Maid/Matron of Honor mom who is a florist and event decorator for over 30yrs and has done weddings from Donald Trumps to K. Kardashian is doing my flowers. On the phone she suggested shades of purple, colbalt blue, and for a contrasting color and light lime green. I was very hesitant about the light lime green, but she put together about 4-5 bouquets for me using different flowers, but using purples, blues, and light lime green and it looked BEAUTIFUL…she did substitute one bouquet with pale yellow flowers and it was kind of BLAH, the light lime green really did the trick!! I would have never thought of lime green, than again, this is why this is her area of expertise and not mine! lol.
