So my original idea was to have each of my bridesmaids in a different shade of blue in the same gown. Today I was thinking about something else and I need some opinions! The second idea would be different floor length champagne dresses with a sash in different shades of blue. What do you think, will this look too crazy or will it be classy? The wedding will be outdoors in august. I added pics I made on DBs website! Thanks!

I love blue and like the idea of having a number of different shades. I may steal that idea actually! 😀

It was actually my FI’s idea! And at first I didn’t think it would work… but after seeing some pics of it I think it turns out really nicely.

I agree with going with different blues and different dresses! I’m doing the same (for yellow). I just gave them some general guidance on the silhouette (knee length, must have straps, any shade of yellow, any fabric). I’ve seen many weddings with this style and I really love the unique look to it all! It helps my CMs be comfortable with their price point and the style too (my BMs have different body types). I really wishes a bride let me do that when I was a BM.

I adore different dresses AND different colors. I had to just go with different dresses in the same color because nothing else is matching anything else, and she was afraid my wedding would look too random lol.

I think it looks great all in different shades of blue. Infact I might try that with my BMs, thanks!

If you want to have differnt style champagne dresses then I think the blue sash should be the same shade for all of them.. Or the champagne dresss should be the same style and then the blue can be different shades

I voted for dresses in different shades of blue, because I feel like just the sashes in different shades of blue looks like you just told your ladies to find and wear any blue sash/belt that they could find – non-matchy in a not-so-good unplanned way. But that could just be me 🙂

I’m loving the mis-matched look! I’m thinking of doing the same thing but with purple for our wedding. In my eyes it’s a win-win, you get a gorgeous bridal party and the girls get to pick what they like!
