help! I have asked like a bajillion people what kind of slip to buy and what kind of dye to use and no one will answer me! I even went to buy one from someone but she said she wanted to sell it with the dress and then sold it by itself to someone else! so I've given up the search to find one and im just going to dye it myself. but can anyone give me any pointers? I'm trying to dye it dark purple or navy blue. preferably navy blue. I just dont have the money to buy one colored online because im only finding them for like 200. sooooooo whats your idea?

I used RIT dye.  They have a list on their website of fabrics that can and cannot be dyed.  You need to stay away from  50% polyester or acrylic.

I was about to post exactly what MissAsB posted.  I have heard of people using 2 or 3 packages of dye to get a darker color.  I think it would be pretty to mix two packages of navy blue with one of purple.

You need to find a nylon crinny. I know for sure that Davids Bridal sells nylon ones. (i got mine on ebay for cheap by searching for the style number i needed)

    I dyed mine light purple:
