As long as the only molding that is white is what is in the bottom picture you should be fine. I think with the chair rail it just makes the tv stand look dirty, but if it's just the crown and the baseboards that are close to it I think it will be ok.
I think the white console looks really nice, but i also wouldn't be afraid to put a console in with a dark wood stain either. It doesn't have to be too matchy matchy, but I would keep it low profile like the white one, rather than a tall center like the one in the bottom pic

So we're looking for an entertainment console for our home and we have a LOT of white crown molding. I'm attracted to the antique white entertainment centers and furniture but I'm worried they might clash too much with the molding.
What do you think? Here's a picture of the entertainment center, and in the picture it's actually shown with white molding.
And here is our family room (before we moved in- those mustard walls have got to go and we've got a different couch and love seat). The old entertainment center was pretty bulky and I'm looking for a cleaner look.
