we did bottle/mason jars centrepiece for our rehearsal dinner and we used spider mums and hydrangea – they filled out nicely and looked beautiful. We did white/cream and green.

Commenting to follow. I’m DIYing my flowers, will probably just grab a haul from the local supermarket on the day and cross my fingers!

tropical_chic:  oh i know! I think I’m going to take a class to get really good at arranging. luckily ours is just a reception, we’re having a tiny DW, so if my flowers are horrendous, I won’t be as upset as I might have been.

tropical_chic:  If you are using narrow neck bottles, you really don’t have to worry about arranging them very much. Each bottle takes one or two flowers, and a couple of sprigs of greenery.

Can you not contact the local store where you will be getting your flowers and make arrangements for them to bring in what you want/need, depending on what is available?
