I was torn with the same thing. I really like the Jasmine dress btw.

I am leaning towards gray dresses for my wedding because it will be easier to incorporate the yellow around the reception and as you mentioned with the flowers. I think it would be less ‘drab’ to have gray dresses with yellow accents everywhere than the other way around.  Either way I think it will look great!

I’m having a grey, yellow, orange and white wedding.  Hoping for the guys to be in light grey suits with yellow/grey/orange ties, and the girls to be in darker grey dresses (not sure if I’ll them pick their own or if I’ll do it for them). I think grey is a lovely color and you can make the dresses look more modern/upbeat with the right yellow accessories ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m having a gray and yellow wedding also.  My girls are wearing gray dresses because they weren’t too hip on the yellow.  So we’re having gray dresses and yellow flowers.  The guys are wearing black tuxes.

I really want yellow shoes for the girls too, but I don’t want it to be overkill with the yellow, so we’ll see.

I love the Wtoo dress you’ve picked!  My BMs don’t want strapless, so it’s been a struggle.  We’re looking into Alfred Sung right now.

I would go with the grey dresses. As you have already mentioned, grey flowers are pretty well non-existent. There are plants with grey toned foliage , such as Dusty Miller.

You can bring grey into the centerpieces in your containers or by using grey lanterns in a centerpiece like this

The grey/yellow scheme was really popular in early 2010and the year previous so wedding blogs like stylemepretty etc. should have a trove of inspirational images.

Also, never rula out simply googling ‘yellow and gray wedding’  as an image search.

Mrs. Socks had quite a few pops of bright yellow included in her wedding, so be sure to check out her recaps as well!

We’re doing a gray and yellow wedding too.  Girls are wearing pewter dresses, flowers are yellow.  Groom is wearing black tux with pewter vest, grommsmen are wearing black tuxes with yellow vests.  Centerpieces will have gray & yellow ribbon accents, tables have yellow runners & chair covers have yellow sashes.  I think yellow accents everywhere will really brighten up everything in the room at the reception (at least that’s my hope, anyways).. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m definitely going the yellow accessory route with my girls.  I love ribbon necklaces and will probably go with something like this:

And I’m planning to get them custom made clutches in the color scheme, like these from etsy (MyCreativeThreads)

I love a good clutch, and I know my girls will too. I think they’re the perfect accessory AND bridesmaid gift!  I can’t wait to get some made for them… although I have to choose my maids first.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  I’m a planner, what can I say.  ha

I did yellow and gray for my wedding, we tried to stick with a darker gray called charcoal gray. The bridesmaids dresses were pewter from Davids Bridal with yellow and white flowers. The girls wore light silver shoes which looked great but I’m sure light nude would look good too. Tuxedos were medium gray from Mens Wearhouse. You could do black ties but we got complementary yellow striped ties from Express for groomsmen and did yellow boutonnieres. Make sure to keep accenting with white (napkins, pocket squares etc), keeps it modern and classy. http://pin.it/pwJ5htA
