I had to choose between two dresses to replicate (Vera wang lark or J’aton) and I am going with the J’aton replica. However, I am having a destination wedding in africa and the heat will be ridiculous so the heavy skirt of the J’aton will be too much. I will like to replace it with a less heavy, thick yet beautiful mermaid skirt.
I have some options but please let me what you think and if you have any other choices. Sorry i can’t photoshop the skirts unto the dress.
Here is the dress I am replicating… and whose skirt i don’t want.
1. Inbal skirt
2. Jasmine skirt
3. 3. Different j’aton skirt

You wrote different jasmine skirt in your poll, but didn’t jaton in your post. I pick that one. I think it looks best without adding more drama.

Honestly i think the original will be the lightest… That lace looks rediculous thick and heavy as is the chiffon on the last dress when compare to the tulle of the original. Have u considered wearing a hoop underskirt? Itll reduce the amount of fabric and keep it all off ur legs

@futuremrsk18: Thank you very much and it is corrected. I do love the third one lol… wish i could have all 🙂
@dv3849: I will definitely add crinoline or a mermaid hoop skirt underneath..but it has all these jagged layers too… which may look unfinished? The inbal skirt has only 2 layers of lace… and the jasmine replica is tulle with lace at the edges .. so if only those layers..then perhaps not so heavy??? so confused. Dont want a super long train either.

@swizzles25: I’ll go for the different jaton skirt. The bodice has enough drama by itself. cant wait to see your skirt made by JBS. Good luck!

Hello! I’ve been thinking of the same combination for awhile now too. Here’s a rough photo stitch up of the j’aton + inbal dror dress that i came up with:
Sorry the image is so huge! But I hope it helps!
