Boxcar press is the parent company of Bella figura, who we used for our letterpress invites. Great choice! Anyways, I would just email them your question as they are fabulous to work with and couldn’t be happier to answer questions (I had a ton). Good luck!

We just used a letterpress company here in no. cal and I had my fiance design it on illustrator.   We used the 30day free software trial and then sent that to our print shop.  It’s not user friendly but he knew photoshop so it wasn’t hard for him to learn.

The place i got it done also offered design services for 80/hr.  Or you could always go the etsy route to just to get a design done.
