    hello fellow brides! I'm in desperate need to help with colors and my linens. My reception location has all black linens (tablecloths and chair covers) included. I can't decide on what color of runners and chair sashes to use. My wedding colors are plum, apple green, black, and white. Most of the flowers will be purple (it's the primary color) with green mixed in. Should I use damask colored runners and sashes, or apple green to really make it pop??? Please help!

    Thanks!

    @chaney_nic:I think the damask runners with green and plum centerpieces will work well and pop out better against the black. Damask is also every where you turn so you won't have a problem adding it to your decor. Finding the right shade of green may get tricky so I think it would be best to leave the green in small punches.

    I think either way it'll be fine, but my first thought was to use the apple green as the runner.

    Damask = subdued, swanky.
    Apple green = fun, bright.

    i think either would work, but i think the apple green would help break up all the black more.

    I think the damask would be a nice neutral to set off the colors of the flowers. Even though I like the apple green it might be too much contrast with the black. Sometimes that looks jarring.

    I think that using damask runners would look nice & really empahize your center peices, and maybe you could use apple green sashes? Maybe do a trial run to see what would visually be best. :)

    I think damask on black would be a good backgroud for any centerpieces! Recently I have been playing around with this site to try different linen combos. Its easy to get ideas of how things look together this way... Good luck!

    What color are the bridesmaids?  Is it a morning, afternoon, or evening wedding?

    Without much other information, if your flowers are purple with greens against a black table cloth, I would go with white napkins and a white damask runner.  I think less is more.

    If you want chair covers, go with the black with a white sash.

    My vote is damask and then focus on bringing the apple green in w/ your centerpiece :)

    1) white chair covers and damask runners. You can bring in the plum and apple green with the BM dresses and deco flowers/favors.
