i've never seen groomsmen and the groom in outfits that are so different in formality. personaliy, i think it would look better if they were in the same type of outfit. maybe you could comprimise and have everyone in suits?
Have you thought of not doing tuxes, but nice suits. You could have all of your groomsmen, FI, and dad wear gray or khaki colored suits. I'm just not sure if it would look okay if you have your FI and dad in tuxes and the rest of the bridal party in just khakis.
I'm with artbee, it's quite far on the formal spectrum from tuxes to khakis. Having everyone in suits is a nice compromise and gives off a more traditional yet relaxed vibe.
I also agree with artbee. A tux and khakis are SO different the spectrum of wedding attire. How about a compromise of khaki suits for everyone?
I agree with the bees on this one. Everyone should match in formality. Going with a suit for everyone would work perfectly IMO.
Thanks! I think we're going to take your advice on this and go with suits. I appreciate thehelp!

Hello! This is my first post and I need some help. My FH and I are planning a casual, outdoor wedding in late September. I'll be wearing a traditional dress and we plan for him to wear a tux. Our original thought was to have the groomsmen wear khakis and white oxford shirts with ties that we would give them in our colors (orange and fuschia). The problem is, I can't picture my dad walking me down the aisle in anything but a tux (or at least a nice suit). Would it look silly to have him and my FH all dressed up and not the groomsmen?
