Yes! Change the boob light! 🙂 You could get a gorgeous pendant or modern chandelier. The room looks a little empty so maybe get a narrow sideboard for that long gray wall and then build up your wall decor around it. You could have a lamp on the sideboard with a mirror behind to brighten up the room, or frame a large piece of art and have some small decortive items/plants.

Jw1724:  Agreed, definitely change the boob light. Something hanging and pretty. I’m currently in love with a capiz chandelier from West Elm. Yum!

A mirror would be great on that wall! Are you going to do curtains? And maybe a little something between the windows.

Agreed! Change the light fixture! Get a pendant light or a chandelier. I would also put a sideboard on the grey wall. Hang some curtains also. I think a mirror, or art, would be good on the grey wall but, I’d wait until you have curtains, a new light fixture a sideboard for the room…once you put holes in the wallpaper there is no turning back.

BTW….I am in LOVE with the wallpaper!

Jw1724:  I love that gray accent wall that you have! I agree with PPs. Get rid of that light ASAP and get a hanging light for a more modern feel. Also, two must-haves: a rug and curtains! Those will liven up the space. You could put a mirror on the wall or artwork and put a long buffet type table or a small hutch to display china underneath it. I think this dining room is just lovely and feels very complete to me.
