So I have my dress.. a Maggie Adelaide in Diamond White. I’m a plus size and want to have a little bit of a sleeve or a jacket.. somthing. I bought a few yards of the material from Maggie and now I just need some ideas ‘for what’ lol.
Any help would be appreciated 🙂
THis isnt me LOL!! just my dress

Here’s one pic I found. The elbow length sleeves are very flattering. The trouble with a lot of bolero type jackets is the sleeve cuts across the widest part of your arm.
this type of shrug would look great too- the open neckline is very flattering

Another bride created a similar post last week, and you may find the comments on that thread to be helpful.
From my perspective, although I have not seen a photo of you in your dress, I don’t think you will need a cover-up, unless you want one for warmth. As I suggested to the other bride last week, perhaps just having a long, very sheer veil that you allow to just brush across your shoulders would make you feel more comfortable, without taking away from — or competing with — your beautiful gown. Here is a link to the other post. http://www.google.com/url?q=http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/bridal-gown-coverup&sa=U&ei=N2XRTtbyC5ChtwfwpPj0DA&ved=0CAgQFjAC&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNHHX5CXrAYh2m4kbnwOrrEBfyTIuw
If you do decide to have a shawl made from the extra fabric, I would suggest having hint of beading similar to that which is on your gown added.

@julies1949: Wow!! The two examples you posted are quite beautiful! And I do not think either of them detract in any way from the overall look or the gowns with which they were paired.

Thank you so much!! 🙂 All options are looking great :)!! Our wedding is in Jan, outside and at a venue next to the ocean (like 10 steps lol) and it can get chilly. PLus I really am self conscious about my arms. Working out like a mad woman tho! THank you!!
