So I still haven’t decided on my colors (it will either be deep reds with cream and accents of gold or deep purples and clean white).
But I have decided onthe types of flowers I want for my centerpieces. Only problem is is I can’t find any good inspirational pictures. I would like to use carnations, dahlias and thistles (Perhaps some others, I am open to suggestions on this). The only thing is is I don’t want my flowers to be stagnent and something everyone has seen before. I have googled dahlia/carnation centerpieces and come up with nothing. Is this arrangement too far out there? Do you have any suggestions that are unique arrangements that would look nice?
Oh and the tyle of arrangement I’m thinking. I would do all while carnations with one colored Dahlia or all colored carnations with one white, and have them alternating throughout the room. Would this look ugly?

I don’t know about ugly but I’m having a hard time deciding if it’s too out there. Plus the one dahlia thing may not make sense amoungt a ton of carnations. I tried googling centerpieces with just a pop of color and some of these pics came up
How about 2 different hieght arrangements? Like a ball of white carnations and then in a smaller vase like 3 dahlias? Kind of like this but obviously the red would be dahlias, maybe in a bud vase??…

Thank you for those. I know the one colored flower amongst the others would look a little wierd (it was inspired by a book where a woman gets a dozen white roses with one red and I loved that idea). I really don’t like all carnation arrangements which is why I was trying to include some other flower. Should I do like three dahlias in one color and fill it all in with carnations of another color?

I think the reason that pictures are hard to come by is that it’s not frequently done. Usually there’s a reason for that.

I bought some flowers and did some practice arranging…maybe try that?
