Ok I need opinions on curtains. I have pretty limited sewing skills but these are really bad mock ups that I’ve come up with that I think I can actually sew. I’m not a huge fan of any of them but I also don’t want just plain white curtains. The crib skirt is in the striped pattern already, bedding is mix matched patterns with the stripes, birds, polka dots, and flowers. So which do you like?

I like the idea of the striped fabric being at the bottom of the curtains like the striped fabric is at the bottom of the crib. Cohesion amid the many fabrics.

I’d do a band of the striped fabric at both top and bottom to tie it all in. You don’t even have to sew anything if you use iron on seam binding or stitch witchery.
If you aren’t really a fan of any of them, you could make it really easy on yourself and just tie colored ribbons in various lengths streaming down on the white curtains. Then if you get tired of it, all you have to do is untie them. There’s so many no sew window treatments available these days, you can change things up when the mood or boredom strikes.
Even something like this is easy and cute.

@ItWasntMe: I tried the ribbon tying thing and my husband didn’t like how it looked. I do like the smaller strip along the bottom, might have to try pinning that together and see how it looks.

@redhead46: Love the idea of the fabric at the bottom of each curtain. 🙂 A little pop of color with classic white!
