I haven’t found a solution but… I have the oiliest skin of anyone I have ever seen and I have found some ways to keep it under control.

I would first look into your skincare regimen. I have found that harsh products just seem to make the problem worse. I try to stick to cream cleansers. I also have found that I don’t get as oily if I don’t exfoliate as much.

I used to use Milk of Magnesia as a primer and that was great for keeping oil at bay. Benefit’s Porefessional controls oil as well. You say you’ve tried Murad. Have you tried their mattifier? I really really like it. Also, any foundation that is “dewy” usually looks greasy on oily skin. I think you should go with a completely matte foundation becoause oily skin provides it’s own “dew”. If you set it with a skin-mimicking powder(something like MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish Natural), you can still have lively looking skin while using a matte foundation.

I use to use a product by Chanel similar to this (or maybe this but now repackaged) http://www.chanel.com/en_US/fragrance-beauty/Skincare-Oil-Control-PURET%C3%89-ID%C3%89ALE-S%C3%89RUM-89594 and I found it helped. Not sure how it’d survive a full day under make up but hopefully it helps?

I agree with jayebaby though. Harsh products freak the skin out. I also found exfoliating with a gentle, great exfoliator like the Jurlique one (do you have that where you are?) once a week helped with  my oil build up.

Good luck and congrats!

Also if you’re getting a pro to do your makeup, they’re strangely great at not making the face melt! if you’re doing it yourself, I think powder is a big help it setting make up 🙂

@jayebaby:  I also use Milk of magnesia as a primer/de-shiner for my oiliest spots. Best mattifier I have ever found, plua it’s helped reduce my clogged pores.

My skin responds to any irritation by going into oil production overdrive. I am suuuuper gentle with it. I use honey and lukewarm water as my morning “wash”, and Purpose as my evening wash, plus every 3rd day I use my clairisonic for some deeper cleaning and gentle exfoliation. And I moisturize twice a day with Cerave.

For make-up I use Urban Decay’s De-Slick spray on clean skin, then prime with Hourglass Mineralveil primer, then do my full face, set with a finishing powder, and then do another spray of De-Slick to lock everything in place. Applying the De-Slick spray before any make-up makes a huge difference for me!
