I am grateful for weddingbee as so many of you have way more experience then me. Anyhow, to the point one of the many ideas I would like to carry forth is to have a sign at the very front of my venue (outside). This sign will say something like welcome to the celebration of >>and >>..Date..etc.. Below are pictures, please let me know if you know where I can get something like this designed and printed.

I’d try a local copy store (preferrably an individually owned one). They have access to a lot of fonts, and a lot of modest little copy shops send you what they came up with and are open to your ideas and input. If they are unable to complete a project for whatever reason (whether they are lacking the correct resources or machines to do it) then they send it off to a third party to complete the project for you.

You could also use a sheet of plywood or an old door or window and paint it over with blackboard paint and use chalk, or use matte black paint and white paint for the lettering.
You can draft your sign on your computer, print it on a transparency, use an overhead projector, project the design onto your surface, trace it with pencil then paint it .
