My fiance and I are doing a double sided invitation. What we call the “front” is a super cute drawing by an artist we found on Etsy. What we think of the “back” has the actual invitation (card with purple background). We also have an information card (blue background) and a reply card (grey background).
I’m just not sure how to stuff my envelope. I know traditional wedding invitation ettiquite says that the text on all cards should face up so that the person opening them can see them when they are opening the envelope but I’d really like to put the image face up (with the text on the back).
What do you guys think? I feel that if I don’t put the image face up most people will miss it and it will be wasted.

I voted drawing face up, but really, people are not going to “miss it” no matter which way you put it in–of course they will see the other side!

Drawing side up. Will your guests you really care about invitation etiquette? It’s not something I’ve ever paid attention to.

My suggestion is to put the drawing facing up and the RSVP, etc behind it.

Put the drawing up. That way they’ll see it when they open it and turn it over to see the wording. If you have the wording up, they might not turn it over to see the drawing.

I would put the drawing face side up. I think its a lovely and refreashing invite idea. 🙂

Great! I’m glad almost everyone agrees. I’m going to go with drawing side up. Thanks ladies. 🙂
