Our flower budget is tight and our church venue is HUGE! We had only enough in our budget to make 6 small flower cones, but now that I’ve had some time to think about, this might look a little dinky on their own. Our wedding is 3 weeks away! What alternatives are there that are inexpensive? Pics are greatly appreciated!
Oh…and this isn’t an absolute plus, but we’re having a bit of a book theme to our wedding, so if we could tie that in somehow, that would be great!

I think that the tulle pomander balls always look nice, and I think that they’re reasonably priced. They’re soft and give a nice pop of color. BUT that doesn’t tie into your book theme!
What about just a nice calligraphy type letter or some numbers at each end of pew, like the dewey decimal system in library stacks.
Really though… you probably don’t NEED to do anything. Most churches are beautiful on their own and people won’t notice if the pew ends are bare.

I’m not sure how formal your wedding is, or how crafty you are, but what about decorations from salvaged old books? There are tons of things you could make from some inexpensive thrift store love stories and some ribbon to alternate in with your flower cones!

@heysillybabe: Great idea! I was just going to say the Mrs. Green Tea’s kusmada (sp) balls.
