since you’re not having a formal dinner i don’t think a seating plan is necessary. As for the mugs, I think it’s fine. All weddings i’ve ben to we have a glass on teh table in addition to what we are served at the bar.

I probably wouldn’t do assigned seating. The way you have the tables set up should allow people to mingle pretty well and wouldn’t leave anyone feeling uncomfortable about seating IMO.

Also, i think the mason jar idea is super cute and if you have the sangria like that, they would need something to drink out of anyway. Will you have tea or water that won’t be bottled? They may need the cup to drink that.

You could put the mason jars at each place setting, or you could have a separate little station near your guestbook or card table where they get the mason jars.
