I’m getting married on Saturday and I picked up my dress yesterday. I just pulled it out of the bag and it looks more wrinkly then when I took it in. I have no place to lay it out becuase I live with my fiance and I have about a 45 minute drive to the venue. How and when do you steam it? Will they just fall out after I have it on for awhile? I’m so confused. I really don’t want to go buy a steamer.
My dress has like 3 or 4 layers of lace with a long train.

@mrsztobee: It may be good to hang it in the bathroom with hot water running so the steam may help but if you take it to a professional I would make sure to take it to someone a week before and pick it up 3 or so days before.

Where are you getting ready? My venue provided a steamer for us (though we didnt need it). Could someone in your bridal party or your parents keep it for you? If not, I’d recommend seeing if you can find a place that can steam it the day before you go so it’s been back in the bag minimal time.

If you’re at a nice hotel they should have a steamer for you. I bought a cheap hand steamer just in case. i had a tulle and lace gown w/ a huge traing and many layers of tulle. i (my wedding coordinator) steamed it day of while we were getting ready because it was just too big to store after professional steaming w/o out it getting all wrinkly again.
