This really isnt something I should even be thinking/worrying about so early on, but my fiance doesnt like table numbers so we are going to do table names. He thinks that when people get theyll number if they have a higher number they will feel inferior to those who have a number closer to "1" SO I told him we can do table names but he was like well what the heck are we going to name them. A little background info....we are approximating 120-150 guests so we will have between 10 and 15 tables (about). A little background info - we are getting married at a lake in Georgia. Neither one of us are sports fans (so we dont want to do anything team related or something like that) Can anyone help with some cute and creative ideas!? Thank you!

We did Table names & I loved them!

We went on a backpcking trip through Europe a few years back & our favorite place was Italy! So we decided to name the tables after landmarks we visited in Italy. It fit the whole theme of the wedding since it was a "country Italian theme" so we had wine cork escort cards, all our printed items were addorned with our olive branch decal & we served Italian food.

So, what type of feeling or theme do you have for your wedding? For example, if your wedding is full of bright colors during spring, you could name your tables after flowers that you like. Or even parks you have visited together (something "Springy" that ties into your theme.)

What are your wedding colors? What type of wedding are you going for? Then think about hobbies you enjoy, places you've visited, your favorite foods, books, places, etc. and think about how you can tie those into your wedding theme.

What about cities you have visited or lived in?  Or cities in Georgia?  Flower names?  Types of wine? Old or new movie titles?

Do you guys have any hobbies?  Names of stuff that relate to those hobbies?

Important dates in your relationship? Ex. 8.21.10, with a little explanation of why it's significant on the big table number?

Ours is similar to @AnnieAAA's -- we are naming each table after cities we've visited together, and the table numbers will be stylised, heavily photoshopped pictures of the two of us in those places (very heavily photoshopped in the case of Barcelona as there wasn't a pic of the two of us together!).

We also considered classic films with iconic romances in them, using the film posters as table cards.

One idea I had today was using the old orange-and-white Penguin book covers as inspiration, and naming the tables after books that mean something to us.

I've had all kinds of ideas, but I don't know what we are doing yet. Here are my suggestions:

    Letters (instead of numbers)
    Favorite Authors/Book Titles
Places/Names from your college (my MOH did this)
Things on the road from VA to GA
    Animals
Names that reference how you know everyone (like family names, or school names)
Hobbies (both of you, growing up and current)

There are a lot of things you can do. At one point we joked about using prepositions (e.g. above, behind, from, near, with).

Some pretty generic would be the word "Love" in other languages.

How about a little more info. What do you and your FI like to do together or what is something meanful to you two? You mentioned Georgia and all I can think of are varieties of peaches lol.

We are going to use flower names or poetry. We have a Victorian theme and I really want to use the poetry, but I haven't figured the logistics out yet.
