Hi Bees! i have 8 weeks to go, so I’m turning my attention to all the little details for the day. I have all my major decisions made, such as flowers, centerpieces, etc.
I’m starting to make time lines, and look at seating arrangements, and stuff like that. I need help making a list of all the little details I need to organize so that I won’t forget anything.
Please post with a list of things you had to do last minute, or things you forgot to do!
We are also leaving the day after our wedding for the honeymoon, so any details surrounding that as well!
The tip from my sister: remember to pack the bag for my wedding dress in my overnight bag for wedding night!

The best thing you can start doing is delegating! At the last minute I was handing so many tasks off to people – picking things up, putting together the programs, ironing the tablecloths…
Get your bags packed for your honeymoon like 2-3 days before the wedding. Things are going to get increasing more hectic.
Pack an emergency day-of bag. Things I had in mine: chalk, shout wipes, deodorant, tissues, cough drops, advil, lint roller, shoes to change into when my feet started to hurt, safety pins, bobby pins, water bottle, lip gloss, check book (I had to pay the bartender at the event), ID (I never go anywhere without it), blotting papers for face shininess, stunt double rings…I think that’s it!
Send an email or call each vendor to confirm. If you have any special instructions, convey them again. I made packets for each vendor ala Mrs Daffodil. I think they worked because everyone knew what they were doing and no one was asking me questions! I would also suggest printing an extra copy of each and putting it in your emergency bag (in case one of your vendors spaces out and doesn’t have their copy).
Arrange for someone to get you and your bridal party food and drinks on the day-of. I ordered a breakfast pastries tray and sandwich tray for both the guys and girls and picked them up the day before. I made the mistake of forgetting beverages. If you’re getting ready in a hotel, I would suggest getting one of those big water dispenser jugs.
