    Hey Hive.

I love these pocketfolds. It's a gatefold, but it's larger than the dimensions I've seen used before (which is one of the reasons I love it so much)

Any idea on the length this might be? I'm going to start experimenting, but any help would be appreciated :)

    Thanks :)

Edit: I can't get the photo to post, but it's under  shanon and peter if you scroll down a tad :)

It looks like the envelope is an A2, which is strange because that's kind of small.  If the envelope is A2, a flat card to fit inside would be 4.25x5.5.  A trifold gatefold would be 3x's the width of 4.25 ( 3 x 4.25 = 12.75 ).  This means your cardstock should be 5.5 x 12.75.  Hope this helps.  :)

@ninjadarling: The invitation looks like it might be either A7 (5" x 7") or A9 (5.75" x 8.75"). The gatefold, since it is a three panel, would be 3x the width of the invite panel - 15" + change for an A7 or 17.25" + change for the A9. If you're wanting to DIY something similar, a lot of online paper stores sell 8.5"x14" sheets - you could print an invitation slightly smaller than an A7, and then trim/score/fold your 8.5"x14" sheets to be the gatefold.

@MagpiePaperWorks: If you look at the size difference between the trifold panel and the rsvp envelope, you'll notice there's no way this is an A7 or larger.  I think based on the proportion, it's got to be an A2, which like I said above, is seemingly small, but very cute, I'm sure.  I'm guessing they used an A2 to take advantage of 8.5x14 cardstock.

@simplifiedbride: That was actually my first thought too... But then I saw that the details & response cards in the first photo look smaller than the invite itself, consistent with how an A7 invite & an A2 response set would look. The actual response envelope has also been bundled into one side of the gatefold, and it is definitely smaller than that side of the panel, so the outer envelope would have to be larger to accomodate the entire package. Plus the pink directions card (assuming it was bundled in somehow) is too long to be an A2, and I suspect it is larger in size rather than smaller, for legibility. Either way, it's super cute inspiration for the OP to work from - I love the fuschia + black combo!
