Planning our New Years Eve Wedding and could use some help with the time line:
Planning on a Pre Ceremony Cocktail hour at 7:pm then 8:00 Ceremony. I would think it would last until 8:30 – after that we have pictures and the reception dinner is from there on. We are not doing the garder toss or flowers. only Cake. No dances with parents just our dance?
When should all of this take place? and toast? etc… etc….

OK, a few things to think about here…. I work as a Bridal coordinator so I’m going to time things out for you the way I would time it for a traditional wedding in a function hall.
Cocktail hour from 7-8pm
Ceremony from 8-8:30pm
Pictures (you need to plan on hour) 8:30-9:30pm
Are you going to be doing formal introductions into the room? Most venues have you do formal intros, first dance, then followed by a blessing and or toast. If so, 9:30-10:00pm
formal sit down dinner with soup, salad, entree 10:00-11:00pm.
That’s only leaving you and hour before midnight. I could be way off and am just estimating what your event could run. How many guests are you expecting? Is it a formal meal or buffet? How long do you have the function room for?
Is there a reason you are doing your ceremony after the cocktail hour?
